Dhaka Load Shedding Schedule 2022
As a result of the ongoing power crisis, the government has decided to introduce area-based load-shedding for one to two hours from Tuesday (July 19) across the country in an attempt to resolve the problem.
After a high-level meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday (July 18), Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, the prime minister’s advisor on energy, announced the decision.
State minister for power, energy and mineral resources Nasrul Hamid and principal secretary to the prime minister Ahmad Kaikaus also attended the meeting.
As a result of the decision, Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC), which distributes electricity in Dhaka City and its surroundings, set out the schedule of load shedding in the various areas of the city.
